Darth McAdam (18/08/2007)
Jezzatheshed (17/08/2007)
This collecting thing got out of hand for me so I stopped the one of everything game and decided to only collect military personell. I sold off all my ep2 and ep3 figures but it turned out I couldnt part with them all, some were just too well made (ephont mon for example) so for a year or so I'm happy then the TAC figures appear and I just have to have the Jawa, Mc Fett, the moisture vapourator (with free luke).. When will I learn? This year has been the worst/best for me, Ive added numerous vintage toys to my collection as Ive found loads at carboots!, then three weeks ago I find a lady at a carboot selling her hubbys POTF collection at five pounds each, she had six of the rarer freeze frames which I needed but I only had twenty quid in my pocket, I had to leave Nien Numb and Darth Vader (non removable helmet) behind. Still I did get the Royal Guard . So despite the so called self limiting I find I'm still hunting for figures. I didn't think that you could still bag a bargain at a car boot sale; I was under the impression that everyone knew that Star Wars was highly sought after and made you pay through the nose for stuff. I think I might have to start checking out a couple of car boot sales.... I honestly think that people have become dis-affected by ebay, they tell me they are fed up with non paying bidders, rows about feedback and the cost of listing and final fee's. It seems around here collectors are giving up collecting too (Ive recently been offered two large collections which I cant afford). It means I can pick up goodies from time to time at a good price. I do go to at least two boot sales every weekend though and I have to get up early! On a slighty off topic note I found a complete undamged Rancor at a boot sale the other week for the princley sum of £3.00! my better half was selling off the household at the sale so I took the beastie back to her car and popped it in the boot. Feeling well pleased I went back to the stall where I got it and rumaged through several boxs of junk toys and dug out some weapons, clothes and some X wing guns. Feeling even more pleased I wandered back to the better halfs car to play Rancors. Lo when I got back no rancor! a woman and her son had spotted it in the back of the car so my daughter flogged it for £2.00! DOH DOH DOH Anyone want a teenager that hates Star Wars?

ouch I feel your pain. I've trained (my other half thinks brain washed) my kids to look for SW items. Everyone knows I collect SW thanks to Kyle who tells anyone who listens!

| I'm amassing a collection of Galactic Heroes figures. I started collecting them when they were the Playskool branding and have continued since....

| Sorry no, I have a digital camera but do not own a PC and have not got the faintest idea how to upload photos on the library's PC. Plus I don't think they would like this. On the Playskool front I have the following: X Wing fighter with Luke, Vader & R2D2 Luke & Biker Scout with Speeder bikes & Wicket Luke & Han with Tauntaun & Wampa (very cute and not at all evil!) Anakin & Mace Windu with Reek & Geonosian

hattie (22/08/2007) Sorry no, I have a digital camera but do not own a PC and have not got the faintest idea how to upload photos on the library's PC. Plus I don't think they would like this.Hattie, I could be wrong with this and sorry if I'm interfering, but, you could try taking your memory card to a developer (e.g. Boots) and get the piccies put on to disc. That way you wouldn't have to load them on to the library's pc. Then I think you should be able to upload from the cd/dvd. I'm just butting in because I think I remember the old school (:hehe packaging and toys and wanted to know if I'm right. I think my kids have got one or two.

| I have most the GH's except for one or two of the very early Playskool sets. I have a sealed Playskool Millenium Falcon and X-Wing amongst others. James

I'm relatively new to the collecting malarky, (previously teddy bears)
however being the completist I am i'm determined to get all of the anniversary figures.
and i'll probably go for collecting amidala, princess leia stuff.
Hubby however, will collect anything and everything that has a star wars logo on it!!!!!
for our wedding I very sweetly bought him a boxed falcon, (i regret the day) Lol.
