I went with M&S they offer UNLIMITED cover and include collections I went through everything with them and my collection is insured. They do it provided that no one peice of your collection would devalue the rest to such an extent as for it to be worthless. Also, no one piece can be worth over £2,000 or £2,500 (can't remember) unless its named in the policy. Hope this helps? James

Slow to Burn on this one sorry (got me checking the policy its covered) We are with Zurich pretty much the same as M&S in that nothing as part of a collection over 2k unless named as a separate item i just gave my collection as part of belongings and they are covered treated it the same as the DVD collection a individual units rather than a whole.

My collection is covered by the roof so nobody can get to it anyway, not even me! Seriously, with my More Than insurance my collection items are covered up to £7800 with single article limit @ £1500. Interestingly my business equipment is covered but not my stock

I asked my insurance provider about my Star Wars collection when I renewed my home contents policy. They told me that as long as no single item is worth more than £3000 it would be covered by the insurance. I fear that only when I need to make a claim, will I find out whether it will be covered or not.
