| Just wondering are the Hasbro figures getting a price increase? My local toy store has got Wave 7 in! and they are at £6.99. They have also repriced their existing stock up to £6.99, including their ROTS Antillies figures! Is this increase just the stores decision or is it Hasbro suggested price? What are your thoughts on Hasbro prices in general?

well sadly, its on both hasbros part and the shop selling them. As the industry increases and prices in materials go up the cost of making the toys go up therefore they have to increase total value they sell them for to the toy stores and themselves sell for along with the store s paying more to make up that profit they have to jump the prices. I think our industry is skyrocketing at a fast pace and they are trying to make a bigger profit. Its sad but they know there are plenty of collectors out there who are willing to pay the extra money

LOL Yamaro... though it may be wise to re-price the vehicles as up to £149.99 now  - that would be so painful had we not desired a better Falcon for about a decade...As for the price increase, I wouldn't put it just down to greed etc. I'm sure there's a desire to increase the profit (hey, it's their job), but frankly I reckon the profit has increased as sticking a droid arm or dome in a package has to be cheaper than a coin, or for that matter a near-perfectly articulated figure (which ROTS Collection 2 was giving us). I think that the global financial issues have a big impact (heck, I sound like the government...), but I think the biggest issue is that we have been paying £5.99 since 2002. That's a long time without any increase, so it was to be expected sooner or later. The troubling thing is that it is possible £6.99 may not be the end of it... and if so, July will be a heck of an expensive month.

With the rising costs of materials etc over those 6 years, its not really surprising the price needs to go up.

Does anyone know how much the new clone wars figures and the Legacy figures are going to be?

| I do understand that rising costs mean that the prices need to go up, but £7.99 is quite a lot of money for a small piece of plastic! I do think Star Wars figures are of better quality, but larger Doc Who figures are £6.99 and I see the new Batman figures are £7.99 (also larger figures). I'm guessing the Lucasfilm licence costs would be higher than the other franchise's though. Do you think young kids and parents may be put off buying the new figures because of the price? But the good thing is, I don't feel so guilty spending my money on GG items, as now for the price of 3-5 Hasbro figures you could get a maquette or mini bust!
