Finished 'The Courtship of Princess Leia'. I'm not sure of what to say about this book. Firstly Adam was not kidding, C3P0 doe's sing! The book is quite different from any other Star Wars book i've read. I found it difficult to believe some of the events of the book and in my opinion Luke's jedi powers were far too great. (Some of the things Luke done in this book, a prequel Jedi Master would not be capable of doing!). But once I stopped letting these things bother me, I did start to enjoy the book. I don't think its one i'll read again and i'm not going to class the story in my mind as 'canon'. On the whole, because it is different from the normal novels it makes an interesting read and if you are going to read it, I suggest not starting with the negative approach that I did!

Next up is 'Allegiance'.

I finished Legacy of the Force: Sacrifice on the journey from Vancouver to Calgary, as well as the short story at the back, Boba Fett: A Practical Man (also by Karen Traviss).  I thoroughly enjoyed both and am looking forward to book 6 in the LOTF series, Inferno, but in the meantime, I have started reading Republic Commando: True Colours which has also gotten off to a good start.

Just finished the Joiner King.  Fortunately (or not) my TV blew up so I managed to get a load of reading done.  Quite enjoyed this one.  A bit slow to start off with but soon got going.

I'm going to read Wraith Squadron next which is one of my favourite SW books.

I was quite fortunate in that I was given a TV (ok it's 2nd hand but you can't look a gift horse in the mouth).  However I am trying to be quite strict and not watch it too much.

Anyhoo, I've finished Wraith Squadron, as I said this is one of my favourite Star Wars books.  I think I enjoy it as there is a good storyline with lots of things happening throughout the book.  Plus quite a few of the charaters have flaws, they are much more real.

I've just started reading Coruscant Nights which I picked up at Forbidden Planet.  I spend a small fortune on comics and books there.  Thank goodness the new galactic heroes aren't in the shops yet as I could have emptied my bank account (!)

I'm about half way through 'Death Star'. So far i'm not overly enjoying it. Most Star wars books are always leading up to a certain goal (Rescuing someone, destroying something, finding something, escaping from something etc), but I feel 'Death Star' is just plodding along. I'll give you an update when i'm finished.
