The GG website also says 'currently not available' and they have consecutive month release dates on there so it may even be a further month for the band to appear over here. Still like you say it gives us longer to save.  Sorry to bring up the customs thing again but I have had some good news today. The £21.12 charge from FedEx is being written off as I informed them of my shipping cost paid at the time and they recalculated the VAT which came in around the £9 mark (rather than the £14 being charged) and the chap said as it was a little amount he would credit the whole lot. Bonus. I also asked why some things are charged and not others and he explained that it depends firstly on the value of the package, so anything under the £20 value doesn't tend to warrant customs charges, secondly it depends on who is delivering your package. If it arrives through the domestic post then their rules on custom charges are more lax than if your supplier uses a courier to deliver it. As the courier 'have' to declare everything to the HMRC. So it may well do to ask how your package is going to be delivered and not request priority (or similar) deliveries, therefore reducing the necessity to use a private courier and hopefully your costs. The FedEx chap said he would send me some info out in the post about all this so if any of the above is inaccurate, firstly my apologies and secondly I will correct myself!

I think it's SWEET! I wouldn't mind getting the Jabba scene now...not that I can afford it, or have anywhere to put it

| Thanks for your comments. I've found I don't have anywhere to put it either! I was hoping to put it in my glass cabinet, it fits in there just, but it looks like its been wedged in there! I would recommend this statue to any Jabba fan. The statue comes in many different parts- Jabba and base, oola and right arm, left arm, 4 x cuhsions, cup, food plate, light up jawa, fan and Jabba's tounge (which I found floating in the bottom of the box). A lot of the parts are held in place with magnets , so I guess you could arrange them differently when you feel like a change. I am wondering if prehaps Gentle Giant made them like this so they could make an add on pack that you could add on later? (Slave Leia anyone?) Hopefully I will be able to afford the band statue to go with it and then possibly send off for the Bib!
