| Ok, cast your mind back to Episode I when our heroes are leaving Naboo and the ship gets hit. They send the droids up to repair the ship and they all get destroyed except for R2D2. How come, when the ship accelerates away he does not go flying off the top into space? Those of you who have every left anything on top of your car will know that when you move whatever was on top normally does not stay there for long. Could it be something to do with their sheilds?

| I've always assumed they were held on the ship by some sort of magnets? When the other droids are destroyed their wreckage flies backwards, so what ever holds the droids to the ship must be powered by the droids themselves. Otherwise if it was the ship holding them there, some of the wreckage would surely get stuck back to the ship. It was the shield generator the droids were repairing, so I doubt it could have affected the droids sticking to the ship. (That was probably the most geeky thing I have ever said! )

| Thanks Watto. Some sort of magnetic wheels. Could be a bit of help on an escalator.

What confuses me more is why they fly the ship directly towards the bleedin' Trade federation ship!!!

It was a blockade and so wherever they turned they would have been flying towards a Trade Federation ship. (I think!)

| From what I can remember the blockade seemed mainly to be around the equator of Naboo, North and South of the planet seemed clear of TF ships. And in any case we aren't just talking 'getting a bit close' here, Ric Ollie flew that ship directly into the guns!!

| Well, in that case... It was destiny, because the hyperdrive had to get damaged so they could fly to Tatooine to repair it and then meet Anakin and so on...

| So the midichlorians or Darth Sidious were firing the guns on the Trade Federation ship. This is so confusing.....
