Star wars Lego seems to be very popular. As a kid I loved Lego and building my first piece of Star Wars Lego the other day brought back many happy memories. But my question is, How do you store Lego as part of your collection?

1 Leave it mint in box? (no fun)

2 Open it, build it, display it?

3 As above, but then dismantle it again and put it back in the box?

4 Open it, let kids build it and play with it, then display the box?

5 Forget the collecting part and just enjoy it?

Me? I havent decided yet.

Who on here collects Lego and do you have any pics of your collection?

I do 2 and 3 above... I love LEGO as do the kids and we have a great deal of fun collecting most of the Star Wars sets

I have built mine as that's the whole purpose really.  I did have them all on display but I had to dismantle them when the mother-in-law moved in and then we moved house so all my SW items, not just the Lego, are up in the loft 'in storage'.  I am contemplating buying shelves to go around the top of my bedroom so I can get the Lego down because the sets look really cool when built, and it's agonising knowing that they are all just sitting in a box, plus I need to check them to make sure they are damaged!

I am fully into the Lego, but unfortunately have to open it, build it, back-in-the-box it. At some point I will have the mighty room in which to display it all, although will I ever have the time to keep the things dust free?.....

Speaking of Lego, I just found links to some bigger images of the new sets - click here for the links.

I love all of these new sets, expect for the Foce Unleashed one on which I am holding out judgement. It looks blocky to the extreme - if this matches the look of the ship, then fine, but it seems out of place with the rest of the current Lego.

Nice to get little vehicles with the Battle Packs, I hope they don't push the price up too much. I also hope Lego pack more Stormtrooper ones in a case than Rebel ones, because I know which most collectors are going to be filling their shopping baskets with (myself included!)!

Hi Graham, were the Falcon pics in the news section the other day yours? if so have you built it and do you have any pic's?

I've decided to display my Lego built up for now, but I've kept the box for when/if it needs packing away.

Went into Woolies today and had to fight the urge to buy the Lego Sith Infiltrator (£29.99).Then went to a local toyshop and saw the Trade Federation MTT and Imperial Star Destroyer............managed to leave the store empty handed but with wallet and credit card still intact!

Anybody know where to find Echo Bases?
