I'm not too keen on the new cover for 'Order 66', I think it looks a bit 'cartoony'. I prefered the old cover. But I am looking forward to the book so, as the saying goes, don't judge a book by its cover!

The new cover has more impact on the title name 'Order 66' but I don't think either of them suggest much about the story. They'd be better off with a fallen jedi under the shadow of a clone trooper... or something!
“(Obi-Wan) "That boy is our last hope." (Yoda) "No, there is another."”
"(Yoda) "Yamaro his name is.""

| Has anyone read Timothy Zahn's 'Specter of the past' and 'Vision of the future' ? I'm after a little advice. I'm only a couple of chapters into 'Specter of the past' and so far there have been some references to 2 characters i've never heard of, Exar Kun and Callista. I've done a quick search on the internet and the names show up in the books of the Jedi acadamy series and children of the Jedi. (I do have these books, but I have not read them yet). Should I read these books first or should I just continue reading Spector of the past? I love the Zahn novels and don't want my enjoyment of the book to be ruined by me not understanding parts of the book, due to me not knowing the back stories. Thanks in advance.

Watto (25/07/2008) Decided to continue reading Spector of the past.Sorry Watto; I must have missed your question about which books to read first....I probably would have said to read the Jedi Academy series and then 'Children of the Jedi' is the book that focuses on Callista - I'm not sure if she's in any other books though. I seem to recall that the 'Hand of Thrawn' duology were both enjoyable reads - it's been such a long time since I read them both that I'm having a hard time remembering what they're both about. Thankfully, this is where Star Wars Books comes in handy! Anyhoo, having finished Inferno (book 6 of the 'Legacy of the Force' series and a great read), I've now moved onto book 7, although I haven't gotten very far, so it's too early to comment.

I haven't had much time to read lately, so i'm only a couple of chapters further into Specter of the past. I'm quite enjoying it, so i'm happy to continue with it. Thanks for the advice anyway!

| Waterstones are offering '3 for 2' on all books which includes the new range of The Clone Wars books, activity books, visual guides and even a punch out model book! My eldest spent his birthday money on three books one of which being a Clone Wars book and tried to convince him that it was the 'free' one and to give it to me, but alas, my Jedi mind trick was having an off day, and he has decided to keep it for himself. Doh!, it must have been the lightsaberpen that edged it for him!
