Hi all,
Happy New Year.
This is an appeal for help from UK vintage collectors. I'm looking to amass as much information as I can regarding retailers and prices from back in the day.
If anyone has any toys in their collection which feature old price stickers (other than last 17 £1.59) I'd love to hear from you.
I'm trying to find the original retail price of many items, plus also retailers. It would also be handy to know the cardback too.
This does not just apply to Palitoy items, it applies to anything that had a UK price sticker on it (Kenner imports for example).
So to give an idea;
Luke Bespin - Kenner 45 back - Gamleys - £1.29 MTV-7 - Palitoy Empire - Lewis Meeson - £1.49
I'm looking for both figures and vehicles, so if any of you have anything like that within your collection, please post here of drop me a mail at baronvontree@aol.com
There is a point to it all, I promise
Dave.

| I've gone through all of the vehicle boxes that I have and the only ones that have prices are: Ewok Combat Glider - ROTJ - Hamleys - £3.50
Darth Vader's Star Destroyer - TESB - Selfridges? - £13.95
I've been looking for my vintage card-backs, but I think they're buried somewhere I do seem to remember buying Boba Fett and Luke Skywalker (X-Wing Pilot) from a shop in the Trocadero for £1.99 and my very first figure was Princess Leia Organa, which I think cost me 99p from Harry Pack's in Spalding, Lincolnshire. This was not through choice; it was the only one in the store and I had a pound note burning a hole in my pocket. I couldn't stop myself from opening it on the way home and promptly lost the gun somewhere in between...not a happy day for me!
