starwars.com have 'discovered' some cool (if out of focus) promotional footage from 1979 check out the two part video here and see if you can remember or have got any of the items!

I'm too young to remember myself (ahem!)

“(Obi-Wan) "That boy is our last hope." (Yoda) "No, there is another."”

"(Yoda) "Yamaro his name is.""

omgosh brings back memories even though i'm also not old enough. Honest

Due to the massive range star wars has iv'e chosen to spend mostly on vintage carded graded figures.

However i do have over 500 loose vintage figure's and 20 boxed ( not sealed ) ships, and another 50 loose ships as part of my colection.

I also have a few other what to me are bits. These are a book and a few comics and i also have a lunch box thermos.

That's petty much all i have pre 1985 i also have a few bits from after 1985 these include figures as i don't really collect potf 2 or any of the other collections from 1985 onwards.

I am collecting alot of the items from celebration ( conventions ) I have a complete medallion collection from both LA and london

And mrs Q has been collecting the passes.

P.s If anyone has the child friday pass for sale please pm me thanks

well i have over 600 characters all in the package.  I have over 1000 loose characters (many duplicates)  i have almost all fo the playsets and ships still mint in package.  Along with puzzles, crayon sets, cups you name it.  I have over 12,000 items in all.  (gotta love rummage and garage sales)  But i do have to work on catching up with some of the newer stuff.  Mostly the european exclusives.

yea i believe calling me crazy is giving me to much credit.  I have gone on a whole new level my fiance tells me the whole time.  But as my favorite saying goes what is one step away from obsessive the answer is passionate.  I do love collecting the characters but i find myself stuck between the characters and the ships more than anything else.  I just love the designs of the ships but gotta have the characters to i just guess i am stuck for life lol.

Ohh yes when i say crazy i mean in a very good way. Some peeps might say it's obsessive but in my opinion if it makes you happy, then great. What's worse going down the pub every night comming home in a drunken stuper, spending £30 or £40 a night and not haveing anything to show for it? Or going online and ordering something you have wanted since the day you first seen it. And 6 months down the line you still have it. It still gives you a buzz, and you never know it may even increase in value. It only becomes obsessive when it hurts you and your family.

All the best to you jurjo catom and to all colectors out there i hope collecting won't hurt any of us.

you make a great point that i only wish more people coud understand, it truly is better to spend 40 buchs on something that one day could resell for hundreds then to just waste it getting drunk and yes i to hope noones collecting ever got to bad to where it hurt them
