| Did anyone see the rough cut of Fanboys at Celebration Europe? I read a rumour today that a significant storyline is to be cut from the film, which in my eyes would pretty much take away the entire emotional anchor of it... I thought it was perfect at CE, what was everyone else's thoughts?

Didn't see the preview (didn't go to CE!), but I am looking forward to the movie, Does anyone know when the film is due to be released?

Yep, me and the missus caught it at CE and we absolutely loved it. I read the same rumour and I totally agree with you Graham. The mixture of humour and pathos was done really well and the film would definitely be the worse for having the storyline changed.
"People say football is a matter of life and death" , " I believe it is much more important than that"
"Spider Pig, Spider Pig, does whatever a Spider Pig does, Can he swing from a web? No he can't, he's a pig..."

| The film keeps getting delayed Watto, and there's been no word either way on a UK release. It would be unusual for a film not to have a UK release (the studios want all the return they can of course), however there have been a few more 'niche' films over the last year or so, with very high profile actors, that have only seen very limited UK release. Thanks Adam, always reassuring to know that someone agrees with you!! It got an extremely positive response from the audience at CE too!

| I can understand that jedi_jurjo, no-one wants to give us our Star Wars fix this half of '08 do they!? Seriously though, if Fanboys is the same film we saw at CE it will be worth the wait.

| I think the 2008 release is a full lenth movie. But the original was a short movie. The original was made in 2003 by Haynes Film from newzealand and directed by Peter Haynes. It was 28mins long The 2008 version is being made by Trigger Street Productions from the usa and directed by kyle newman. Both movie's look very similar and i'd say the 2008 version is pretty much the 2003 versions bigger richer brother. The filming of the 2008 project has now been complete. But the project as i understand is still classed as in production and is subject to changes. several members of the 6 star wars movie's have been cast includeing Carrie fisher, Billy dee williams and Ray park. The casting of William shatner is for me an intresting 1. Watch out for the long list of other stars in the movie.
Size matters not. Judge me by my size, do you?
In time you will call me master.

| Well we have The Clone Wars theatrical release to look forward to! Qwerty, the version discussed above was a rough cut of the '08 Fanboys, and featured the cameos you mentioned - Shatner's is particuarly brilliant. The delays have been caused by re-shooting and potential massive re-editing, which could eliminate an entire storyline from the film.
