If your going to watch a movie marathon (or showing Star Wars to someone for the first time), which order is the best way to watch them 1-6 or 4 5 6 1 2 3?

I agree with LSW 1-6 inc the animated clone wars tells the story in sequence even if the technology goes backwards! and that is the order that we watch them although my other half has made a valid point about the fact that we all saw them as 4,5,6 and then 1,2,3 and so to introduce people to SW they should watch them in the same order and then properly afterwards!

you know i do understand watching the movies 1-6 but you should start with 4,5,6 because it gives you that added excitement to watch 1,2,3 to find out how it all happened. And it keeps you wondering what the hell is going on its the excitement we had with having to wait alll those years

Yep, can't argue with that and I am sooooo an Original Trilogy fan. It's just the one thing that kept niggling me was trying to explain that the little boy is Luke's father! Luckily by Ep 3 it had sunk in!!!

I'm planning on doing 1-6. But I forgot to ask, should you watch the original original trilogy or special edition original trilogy?

Most definately the original original. I think the changes that were made spoil the films.
