I've just finished watching this (well, it's been on in the background as I'm working from home) and I can't believe how unbelievably cheesy it is!

I missed both this and the Ewoks series when they were first shown on TV in the 80s, so maybe it's just my age.  I guess if kids love 'em, then they're probably doing what they were designed for....

Got to agree, with you there Darth in fact I have seen less cheese in a Pizza hut kitchen fridge, however did you notice the wheelbike in the first 20 minutes of droids, there are a few other "prequel ideas" in there as well, can't remember exactly but there are a few. 

It just goes to show you can't keep a good idea down, or that the ILM designers watched the cartoons too much!

Good spot Boba.  I do remember the wheelbike and thinking that was probably where they got the idea for Grievous' vehicle.  The owner of the diner also had 4 arms, much like Dex.  It would be interesting to know what other influences the cartoon series' had on the prequels.

With this " pinched for the prequel" thing in mind i dread to think if there is anything in the ewoks cartoon or movies, however i will watch them and let you know,
