| Been thinking about my childhood memories of my star wars toys (Which I sold off cheap a while back! Doh! ). I am Trying to work out which figures I had etc. I don't really know much about vintage figures. I am hoping some of you may be able to help. I seem to remember getting a 'bag' of assorted figures from ,possibly, Woolworths. Can anyone shed any light on this or is my mind playing tricks on me? I know I had an Amanaman and a Luke/stormtrooper figure. Most photo's I see on websites show them carded with coins. I'm pretty sure I never had any coins, were they sold over here? I'm trying to work out when I got the toys, I was born in 78 so i'm guessing I wouldn't have got any toys till at least ROTJ. When was the 'vintage' line stopped being made? Thanks in advance and please add your stories and questions of your childhood star wars toy memories.

| The Power of the Force Carded figures with the coins never made it to the UK, we got the Trilogo style card instead. As for the Woolworths bags of figures, this was how Palitoy sold of its excess stock after the line had been dropped after 1985. They would place a number of baggie figures in a larger outer bag which would have had a big price label on the front. A number of the figures in these bags were in fact rarer vintage variants such as the Leia Boushh with Dark Brown Vest etc. In sealed condition these bags can command some very high prices indeed. You would have also seen items such as Mini Rigs priced at 99p most of which were highly sought after Bi-logo or even Tri-logo versions, and the much sought after Trilogo Play Packs which included Hoth Rescue which came with Han Hoth Figure, Luke Hoth, Wampa and a TaunTaun, Endor Chase Pack with Speeder Bike, 2 x Biker Scouts, Leia Endor and Wicket and the Ewok Combat Set which had 2 x stormtroopers, Ewok Catapult, Wicket and Teebo figures. At Celebration Europe I sold a mint boxed with unused contents Endor Chase Set for £200. Bearing in mind the original price label of £1.99 was still on it Nick

(In my case a bag of toys from Woolworths, but not what the bag looked like or what figures were inside it!). Do you have any pics of a bag? If the bags were available in 85, this also gives me the year I was 'collecting' star wars toys. Are mini rigs a kind of small accessory? If so I had a Tripod laser and a refueling type thing, so this would also confirm the date. I did have a Ewok catapult, wicket and a Teebo but I don't remember owning any stormtroopers, (except the Luke/stormtrooper), so I don't think I would have had the set. Thanks again Nick.

| My main memory is owning the Luke in Stormtrooper disguise, the Emperor, Logray the Witch Doctor Ewok, Ree Yees, Barada and a Yoda (I think I had a few others but can't be sure it was such a long, long time a go in a house far, far away!). I used to think I was cool owning this l'ot' until we went round to one of my parent's friends house and there eldest lad pulled out two plastic storage boxes full of figures and vehicles including the 'Falcon and a X-Wing. Although, I was immensely jealous, we also became 'friends' and we used to pester my parents to visit their friends so we could play with their toys!!! I think my figures got broken (and/or given away), yet I think I have still got the Barada figure in a box with some other childhood memories somewhere.

Although, I was immensely jealous....... I know the feeling, a friend of mine at the time had tons of stuff. Including the At At , Jabba on throne, Taun Taun, tie fighter and the thing I was most jealous of, a Snow speeder. If he still has his toys he must be sitting on a gold mine! I'm working on a list of the toys I remember having, i'll post it when i've finished.

Lando General pilot Ships etc Millenium Falcon (broken rear leg) + I remember getting this as an Xmas present! Scout Walker (bent leg) Speeder Bike ('Exploding' parts would not clip back on) Tri pod cannon (Missing leg) Vehicle Maintenance Energizer Ewok catapult. (Also I may of had a Vader, Liea Hoth and a Chief Chirpa. I can remember them, but i'm not sure of whether I owned them). | I remember having the Obi-wan, Luke and Vader which had the telescopic lightsber which comes out from the arm. Also had Millenium Falcon & X-Wing and load of other but cant remember exactly which one's. My mother had all these figure and ships from a neighbour in our street when her son got too old. Then when my mother thought i was too old she gave them away to someone elso, much to my disaponitment.
