| http://www.jedinews.co.uk/news/news.aspx?newsID=1308 An interesting list, I don't own any on it! But i'm wondering how were the items selected to be on the list? and Is a Millenium Falcon really worth £2000 and Unleashed Leia £40? (I had one for sell for £8 and it took ages to go!) I don't think modern star wars toys are ever going to be worth a huge amount. My theory for this is that even non collectors know that Star wars toys are worth more in their packaging. So in say, 15 years time, instead of there being rare carded figures, there will still be tens of thousands of 'Mint on Card' examples around the world. I expect loose figures are now more rare than carded!

| The only thing that I have from the list is the R2-D2 Interactive Astromech Droid, though that is one of the few items in my collection that I have opened, so I don't know if it's worth the price they are quoting....not that I have any intention of selling it! I totally agree with your point about loose figures probably being rarer than carded Watto; funnily enough, I remember a conversation I had with a guy who used to run a new and used toy grotto in Brighton, way back in 1996, where he said exactly the same thing. I guess the only thing is that it's easy to transform a carded item to loose, but not the other way around!

| Indeed, it always amuses me when a loose figure sells for more on ebay than it's carded equivalent! A few dates are off - the LEGO set mentioned was a 2004 release (if it was out now many people would be very happy!!) . Chewie and 3PO was a great choice for representation from Hasbro - but give them it's due, that really awesome figure was originally out in 2002!!!

| I have none of them and I am quite proud of that. What I have I like and I do not want what I have not got. (apart from a couple of Galactic heroes)

| OK, just had a think about this, so will start in no particular order: 1) Full loose set of vintage figures. Everything you list and everything you own is partly due to the success of these products. 2) Star Wars Chronicles Part I and II. An amazing visual resource of everything created for the films. 3) The VHS Executor Box Set. Still THE best Original Trilogy collectors set of the films. Although only on VHS, this contains more documentrys, deleated scenes, trailers than any DVD effort so far, which since it was released almost 15 years ago, goes to show how good it is. 4) All Star Wars Animated adventures. Droids, Ewoks and Clone Wars all offer great back story and expansion. try to get the original Droids & Ewoks on VHS, rather than the horrible edited short versions on DVD. 5) Master Replicas Darth Vader Helmet. So big it looks daft on anyone, but as a display piece it's a show stopper/ 6) Star Wars Scrapbook An insight into just how big and exdpansive the influence of Star Wars has been globally and on collecatables. 7) Galactic Heroes Millennium Falcon Preschool toys have never been so good as this. 8) Battlefront Series/ Knight of the Old Repbulic. Ok, so this is two, but both allow you become immersed and be part of the Star Wars world in very different, but engaging ways. You know you always wanted to be a Stormtrooper blasting Ewoks, equally in KOTOR, you carve out your own chapter in Star Wars history. 9) Master Replicas FX Lightsaber Any one, they are just so cool, but Darth Vaders is my favourite. 10) The Palitoy Advert Archive DVD This is amazing look back at UK marketing and advertising of Star Wars products and a must have piece in any collection - so I've been told. Dave.
