I went on holiday on Sunday 10th August with the full intention of still reporting daily from my trusted laptop and free wireless broadband in the hotel.

Something terrible happened on the day before we were due to travel though – my 1st cousin, aged just 23, was tragically killed in a quad bike accident in New Zealand.  You may have read about the details in the papers or even seen it on the news.  This shattered our family’s world and whilst my Aunt and Uncle insisted I still come away for the sake of my two children, aged 6 and 8, I was left helpless, full of despair and loss.

I spent the first week of our holiday just thinking about my cousin and my family back at home in the UK.  I came back on Saturday evening in time for the funeral last Sunday, 17th August, and then flew back to Malta later the same day to re-start my holiday.

This tragedy is still at the forefront of my mind and I’ve turned inwards to my family for help and support which explains the lack of posts on my part and the delay in the Hasbro Q&A answers.

I’ll be back in the UK early next week at which point I hope to try and find some sort or 'new' normality again.  In the meantime, I’d like to thank Adam, Graham and the rest of the team for keeping the cogs turning.

Cheers

James

James, sorry to hear the news.

Meditate on this I will.

Our thoughts are with you.

Have only just joined Jedi News but first met you in January ... and was not aware of this news.

My thoughts are with you .James .. from my own experience I know that time is a healer but the loss is always there.
